Waiting on the Weather

Waiting on the Weather
Chilly weather, but luckily we're not heading into winter but out of it (theoretically).

Hey Folks!

For those who missed it, the William Commanda bridge will reopen on Saturday! This, to me, really signifies the start of the cycling season. Sadly, it doesn't seem the weather forecast agrees! Looking at the forecast for next week, it's either a tad chilly for longer rides, or raining.

I'm holding out some hope for a Monday (April 14th) ride, if the rain forecast changes. If that doesn't work out, I'm hoping the first ride of the season can be the week after. Getting starting before Easter was my soft target, so we'll see if that's possible.

Since most trails will be fairly gross for at least a little while longer while our late snowstorm passes, the first few rides will likely be primarily asphalt on the MUP network, maybe with some pre-vetted gravel thrown in, depending on if I get time to scout.

So that's the current update. I'll likely send out an email by Saturday evening for the go/no-go on Monday. Until then, let's cross our fingers we're finally out of winter!

Thanks all,

Matt
