Terry Fox Ride of Hope - July 6th, 2025

Hey Folks!
For the second year in a row, I'll be running a group ride as a fundraiser for the Terry Fox Foundation. It's for a really great cause, and I'm hopeful this little community I've gathered can come together to raise some money and ride some of the route!
If you're interested in participating, please register at this link:

Here's the description of the ride:
Join us for the 2nd annual Terry Fox Ottawa Ride of Hope as we ride for cancer research!
Escape the city on Sunday, July 6th and immerse yourself in nature on this captivating 121km cycling adventure. This route weaves through Ottawa's picturesque greenbelt, offering a thrilling mix of gravel trails and scenic pathways. Enjoy a challenging yet rewarding ride with over 773m of elevation gain, minimizing car traffic with only a small portion sharing roads. Start your journey through the city's western suburbs before venturing deep into the heart of the greenbelt for a while. Explore the southern reaches of the city before returning to the tranquility of the greenbelt, culminating with a scenic ride along the Ottawa River. This route is perfect for cyclists seeking a challenging yet rewarding adventure amidst stunning natural beauty.
Here's the route, with the ridewithgps link below! Please note, the route is subject to change. If you don't feel like doing the whole route, don't sweat it! I'm aiming that, similarly to our usual rides, you'll be able to pick up or leave the ride at any time.

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm hopeful you can make it out to support an excellent cause. If you'd like to volunteer, DEFINITELY reach out to me!
Thanks, Matt
p.s. I got busy this week with personal stuff, but will be hosting rides again next week, assuming the weather plays nicely!
