2026 Terry Fox Ride of Hope
Hey Folks!
I am once again hosting a charity ride for the Terry Fox Foundation here in Ottawa, Ontario. This will be my third time raising money for the Terry Fox Foundation. This years ride will be on June 13, 2026. The ride will start at 8am.
While the route is relatively long, we'll have a volunteer support team providing us with ample hydration and nutrition throughout, and will be another classic no-drop ride. This is the perfect chance to push yourself surrounded by a supportive group, while raising money for an excellent cause.
There is no obligation to donate to attend either - if you'd like to just come out and ride with some great people, don't hesitate to join us.
Here are the ride details:
The Terry Fox 2026 Ride of Hope is a 119.5 km long bike route with 838 meters of elevation gain. The route begins at the Terry Fox Statue in downtown Ottawa, and travels along the southern edge of Gatineau Park. This section offers views of the park’s forested ridges as riders move toward Luskville and into the rural landscape of the Pontiac.
After reaching Quyon, riders take the Quyon Ferry across the Ottawa River to the Ontario side. The return leg features a mixed-surface traverse of open farmland as the route follows the Carp River back to Kanata. The ride follows a mix of rural and urban roads before finishing at Art-is-In Bakery.
The route is designed to maximize time on low-volume roads and active infrastructure. While the initial departure from downtown involves standard city traffic, the sections bordering Gatineau Park and the Pontiac are generally quiet. Once across the ferry, the back roads through the Carp River valley consist of secondary rural routes with minimal traffic until the ride transitions back into the more active urban infrastructure of Kanata and downtown.
We will also have three rest stops, and a chip truck for our rest stop in Quyon.
If you'd like to register, you can see the page below! We hope to see you there on June 13.

Thanks all!
Matt
